What Do We Do in Preschool?
Arts & Crafts
helps children creatively express their thoughts and feelings. They help reinforce fine-motor skills and concept development in colors, shapes, and size relationships.
Language
will help youngsters develop an appreciation and enjoyment of literature. Reading activities enhance children's vocabulary and comprehension skills and also expand their knowledge base.
Chapel
We believe that children benefit from understanding God's unconditional love and acceptance. We communicate this love weekly with bible stories and singing songs.
Writing
Music
activities promote youngsters' listening skills, creative expression, and social skills. In music, children explore sound, volume, tempo, and rhythm.
Motor Skills
help improve small-muscle development and eye hand coordination. Some everyday items found in the fine motor/manipulative area include puzzles, beads, laces, pegboards, etc.
Imaginative Play
helps children express themselves, practice life skills, improve social skills, increase self-esteem, build vocabulary, and solve problems.
Circle Time
is a group gathering in which we shape our ideas, plans, and observations. Circle activities will stimulate youngsters' thinking to enrich their social skills and expand their attention spans.
Social Development
Our Pre-K children learn a variety of social and emotional skills. They learn to express individuality by making independent decisions, how to recognize and describe various feelings, such as happiness, sadness, and empathy. Our teachers foster positive interactions with other children and adults. These are complex skills. Our teachers know this, and they give our children lots of guidance, encouragement, and positive feedback.

Preschool Programs
Early Drop-In
If you need child care before the opening of the regular school day, we offer early drop-in from 7:00am - 9:00am. Kids can eat breakfast, enjoy story-time, and do some creative art.
Lunch Bunch
Providence Preschool offers a daily Lunch Bunch program for children enrolled in the 2 Day, 3 Day, and 5 Day Pre-K programs. It’s a fun opportunity for children to stay at school for an extra hour to eat lunch and have structured playtime and games in the classrooms and on the playground.
Stay & Play
This program is an extended day opportunity designed to allow children to unwind after a busy day of learning! We enjoy a school-provided snack together, have playground time, and explore centers in the classrooms. Stay & Play also accommodates working and busy parents who can benefit from a longer school day.
Summer Camp
Providence Preschool offers a summer camp program for students, siblings, and friends ages
2.5 to 6 years old during June, July, and August. Each week includes fun-filled learning activities. Children will enjoy summer mornings learning new songs, making crafts, cooking, playing games, experimenting with science, and much more!
At Providence Preschool, we put safety first to protect our students and staff. Check out our Health and Safety procedures to learn more.
